2/13 (Day 39) Gornaya Karusel (Russia) – 4 runs – 59.7mph top speed – Rode Gornaya Karusel (Mount Carousel) in Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi, Russia. Big mountain! Little snow and warm, so on mashed potatoes, but I am riding in Russia! WTF!?!?!

2/16 (Day 42) Gornaya Karusel (Russia) – 7 runs – 74.1mph NEW TOP SPEED! – I can’t believe that I hit this on a run that’s only 800 vertical feet! I shouted “WOOO!!!” at the top of my lungs all day, because of the fun I was having and to keep the gapers at bay, LOL!!!

2/17 (Day 43) Gornaya Karusel (Russia) – 7 runs – 61.2mph top speed, but forgot to turn on Alpine Replay for first 3 runs – Such a great last day riding the mountains here. So much fun!!!

2/21 (Day 44) Heavenly – 13 runs – 53.7mph top speed – Great first day back at my home mountain of Heavenly…miss you so much!

3/4 (Day 45) Heavenly – 15 runs – 49.1mph top speed – First true, solid powder day I’ve had all winter. Went big for 65 jumps, massing up 30.4 seconds of air time. Man, it’s so great to have pow!!! Like a surfer without waves, you appreciate it so much more when you’ve missed it so badly.

3/5 (Day 46) Heavenly – 4 runs – 52.9mph top speed – Did a couple double-runs from Olympic to Stagecoach.

3/15 (Day 49) Heavenly – 10 runs – 54.4mph top speed – Dipper woods and burners on the groomers!

3/16 (Day 50) Heavenly – 11 runs – 61.7mph top speed – Had a meltdown today from a few near misses on the groomers…feeling PTSD from my collision a couple months ago. I didn’t realize how affected I’ve been by this collision that I actually felt anxiety on the mountain when anyone turned to close to me traversing a run. Never though much of these instances in the past, as I always just attributed it to some idiot who doesn’t know to check their shoulder, but today I found myself genuinely upset and not enjoying the thing I love to do the most. Seeking therapy to overcome this, as I need to be able to enjoy myself on the mountain again. :(
